Cambridge: the Hidden History

Concentrates on describing the development of the town of Cambridge and its immediate surrounds. Not so much on the University, which is covered in other works. With its emphasis on non-University apsects it also devotes a sizable proportion of its text to pre-Roman, Roman and Anglo-Saxon history.

I enjoyed reading it, and it inspired me to write the articles on the medieval fairs of Cambridge.
