Encylopaedic two volume set. Most of it reads like an inventory, not surprisingly considering its title, though there are also substantial introductory chapters that set the scene.

Covers all pre-1959 buildings of note in Cambridge, and many the casual reader may think are not noteworthy. Most space is devoted to college buildings. There are many useful line drawings, including plans of the colleges, and black and white photographs.
