1228 Migration from Paris

In 1228 scholars migrated from Paris. Many went to England which had a reputation for protecting the rights of scholars to a greater extent than elsewere. In 1229 Henry III offered the scholars asylum and assigned towns in England for their residence, one of which was Cambridge.
